Commercial/Industrial Vacancy Rebate Program
Owners of commercial and industrial properties that are vacant for 90 consecutive days can apply for the Commercial/Industrial Vacancy Rebate Program. The space must not be used or occupied; must be physically delineated from used areas, and not be a seasonal business or leased premises. Unless owners apply for the rebate, all properties are fully taxed. You can view the form online and submit it to the Provincial Land Tax Office.
The deadline for submitting applications is February 28 of the year following the taxation year to which the application relates.
