The Municipality of Arran-Elderslie is committed to providing equal access to information, services and facilities.

Under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) the Municipality is required to plan and implement a Multi Year Accessibility Plan. Our Multi Year Accessibility Plan was developed in 2020 and we strive to meet the recommendations in the plan.

In the event a document provided on the website or Municipal facility contains elements that are inaccessible, an alternative method will be provided by contacting the Municipal Office.

ADIE Committee

Arran-Elderslie announces the development of an Accessibility, Diversity, Inclusion and Equity Advisory Committee (ADIE)

The Council of the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie strongly supports Accessibility, Diversity, Inclusion and Equity in our community.

Council has adopted the Terms of Reference for the Arran-Elderslie Accessibility, Diversity, Inclusion and Equity Advisory Committee and sought diverse members of the community who are interested in sharing their voices to volunteer on this new committee.

To the greatest extent possible, the Committee members will represent a broad range of under-served and equity-seeking groups including, but not limited to:

• Members of the Indigenous Community
• 2SLGBTQ+
• New comers, new Canadians
• Persons with disabilities
• People of Diverse Ethnic or Cultural Origin
• Older Adults
• Women
• Youth (13-18 years)
• People who are allies for equity and anti-racism
