Reopening of Outdoor Recreational Amenities
As of Saturday May 23, 2020, the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie will be reopening the following outdoor recreational facilities for INDIVIDUAL activities only:
- Sports fields including ball diamonds and soccer fields (Paisley Ball Diamond A will be closed until infield work is completed)
- Tennis and basketball courts
- Skate park
These facilities will be open for non-team sports and activities such as walking, running, kicking a ball, tennis and pickle ball. No team sports such as soccer or baseball will be permitted.
Upon reopening, the following guidelines must be followed by individuals using any of these facilities:
- Individuals using any of these facilities are required to physically distance unless they are members of the same household.
- Avoid sharing equipment.
- No more than five (5) people are permitted to use a facility at one time.
- Individuals should use hand sanitizer to clean hands if possible or wash hands as soon as you get home.
- Please do not use these facilities if you are ill. Stay home.
- If you arrive at an amenity that is crowded, please wait until there is enough space to physically distance or return at another time.
The following outdoor recreation facilities remain closed:
- All playgrounds
- Swimming pools and splash pad
- Outdoor washrooms
