Alzheimer’s Awareness Month
Currently there are approximately, 4,425 people living with Dementia in Grey-Bruce. By 2030 this number is expected to increase by 53%. January is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month. Together, we can raise awareness of dementia throughout Grey and Bruce Counties
January 2-31, 2024, an Alzheimer’s Flag will be raised outside the Municipal Offices, in support of Alzheimer Awareness Month.
Big Bruce will also be lit up blue from January 2-31, 2024
The Alzheimer Society Grey-Bruce is an organization that serves local families in Grey-Bruce living with Alzheimer's and other dementia diseases. They provide education, counselling services and social recreation programs to families living with dementia.
They encourage healthy habits like exercise and a nutritious diet for maintaining brain health.
