For Immediate Release
Grey Bruce Moves Into a Modified Step 3 with Strong Recommendations
July 16, 2021
As of July 16, 2021, Ontario and Grey Bruce have entered Step 3 of Ontario’s Reopening Plan. Please note that the Grey Bruce Health Unit has released a modified Step 3 roadmap due to concerns with the Delta Variant locally. Grey Bruce continues to see a significant number of COVID-19 cases with 99 per cent being the Delta variant.
Recommendations from the Grey Bruce Health Unit and Medical Office of Health Dr. Arra include,
• Limit outdoor private gatherings to a maximum of 25 people
• Limit indoor private gatherings to a maximum of 5 people
• The public is strongly encouraged to only dine outdoors
• Workplaces and patrons follow public health measures, especially gyms, cinemas and fast food locations
• Church services and attendees, specifically wedding receptions, follow public health measures
• Personal service settings and salons to require masks be worn, as in Step 2
If you have questions about the modified plan we recommend you connect with the Grey Bruce Health Unit for more information.
Receiving a vaccine is the best way to control the spread of COVID-19.
