Chesley, ON: Today Arran-Elderslie Council proclaimed the month of March as Irish Heritage Month in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie. The Municipality will fly the National Flag of Ireland from March 11 to March 17 (Saint Patrick’s Day) in honour of Irish heritage and ancestry in the region and the contribution of Irish culture to the heritage of the Municipality.
Throughout the month of March, the Municipality encourages residents to learn more about Irish history, culture and the impact Irish culture has had on our local community. The Celtic Academy Irish Dance Canada in Chesley will be hosting classes, camps, afterschool programs and local performances.
