CHESLEY, ON: The Municipality of Arran-Elderslie announced today that after 30 years of municipal service and 3 years with Arran-Elderslie, Sylvia Kirkwood will be retiring from her role as Chief Administrative Officer, effective July 31, 2024.

It is with great sadness that the Municipality acknowledges the loss of former Mayor, Ron Oswald.
Ron served on Arran-Elderslie Council as the Municipality’s first Mayor in 1999 upon amalgamation of Elderslie Township, Arran Township, Chesley, Paisley and Tara. He additionally served as Bruce County Warden in 2006.

Currently there are approximately, 4,425 people living with Dementia in Grey-Bruce. By 2030 this number is expected to increase by 53%. January is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month. Together, we can raise awareness of dementia throughout Grey and Bruce Counties
January 2-31, 2024, an Alzheimer’s Flag will be raised outside the Municipal Offices, in support of Alzheimer Awareness Month.
